About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Primary Substation Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in substation and power plant engineering projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Primary design activities for HV/EHV substations and should be willing to relocate to Hubli-Dharwad.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of Primary Engineering drawings for substations.
2. Development of:
Single Line Diagram
General Arrangement Layouts
Equipment Layouts
Busbar Sizing, Connectors and Layouts
Section & Elevation Drawings
Earthing Calculations and Layouts
Lighting & Lightning Protection Calculations and Layouts
Cable Sizing and Routing Layouts
3. Preparation of BOQ/MTO for primary equipment and materials.
4. Coordination with civil, protection & control, and site teams.
5. Vendor drawing review and technical evaluation.
6. Ensure compliance with utility standards and project specifications.
7. Support project execution and commissioning activities.
Required Skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD and substation layout design.
Understanding of AIS/GIS substations.
Familiarity with HV/EHV Substation equipment and design standards.
Good analytical and coordination skills.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Skills
Experience in transmission/distribution substation projects.
Immediate joiners preferred
